Why is Fostering Essential?

Fostering serves a crucial role by not only providing dogs with a caring temporary home while they await adoption but also elevating their chances for a brighter future. When dogs or cats are fostered before finding their forever homes, it not only enables us to accommodate more animals, but also helps these animals get used to living in a loving home. Fostering grants them valuable opportunities for socialization and adjustment to new environments, significantly increasing their chances of being adopted into a loving family. Additionally, it offers an excellent chance for individuals to assess whether adoption is right for them and to prepare for a potential lifelong friendship.

Temporary fostering provides a wonderful opportunity for individuals with busy schedules, frequent travelers, or those unable to commit to long-term pet care to experience the joy of puppy/kitty companionship while making a positive impact. Dogs and cats may require temporary fostering when their regular foster is away, during transitions between foster homes, or when they simply need a secure haven for a brief period. Our matchmaking team will provide a list of dogs or cats in need of temporary foster care, complete with their profiles and care duration requirements, allowing you to choose which animal to support.

If you are located near Punta Mita, Wet Noses Rescue provides supplies and vet care, you just need to provide a temporary home, all you need to provide is the loving care and playtime! It’s only a bonus that fostering related expenses are tax deductible, ask your tax professional for advice! But nothing tops the love and affection of a thankful pup before their fur-ever home.
